Jim DeLorenzo has served as Head of Sports, Amazon Video, since April 2016. In this position, he oversees strategy and partnerships related to the acquisition of live sports content for Amazon’s video properties.
DeLorenzo has spent over 15 years in leadership positions focusing on digital media, including the evolving sports media landscape. Prior to Amazon, he was President of Digital for Relativity Sports and Relativity Media, and Vice President and General Manager for Sports Illustrated Digital.
During his tenure with Sports Illustrated, DeLorenzo led several successful initiatives, including the launch of The MMQB with Peter King, the relaunch of SI.com and Golf.com, and the development of new SI Swimsuit digital properties. He also led Sports Illustrated’s involvement in the formation of 120 Sports, an innovative live digital video service that partnered Sports Illustrated with multiple sports leagues and media organizations.
Previously, DeLorenzo held senior positions with CBS Local Media and Octagon, a global sports and entertainment agency, as well as the RIAA and AOL.
A graduate of Duke University and the New York University School of Law, DeLorenzo began his career with Washington, D.C.,-based law firm Swidler Berlin Shereff Friedman, during which time represented Napster, the groundbreaking music file-sharing service.
