MovingImage Announces Global NetAlliance Partnership with Akamai Technologies

The company will showcase the movingimage secure Enterprise Video Platform and participate as a Bronze Sponsor at the Akamai Edge customer conference this week.

New York, NY(10 Oct 2017)

MovingImage, the leading secure Enterprise Video Platform (EVP) provider, today announced it is further strengthening its global service by extending its partnership with Akamai Technologies.

“We are already successfully working with Akamai to accelerate the next generation of the digital workplace by enabling massively scalable live and on-demand video with the secure hosting and management of a company’s entire video portfolio in the movingimage EVP,” said Osman Tok, director alliances for MovingImage. “To support our continuing international growth, we are happy to announce that we are extending our relationship with Akamai from Europe into the Americas and the Asia-Pacific-Japan regions through Akamai’s NetAlliance Partnership Program.”

Top global corporations such as Bayer and Volkswagen Group use the movingimage EVP to securely host and deliver both internal and external-facing videos with MovingImage’s responsive player technology, intranet streaming capabilities and enterprise-grade security. Because videos are securely hosted and always available within the EVP, on-demand videos can be viewed by hundreds of thousands, or even millions, of people at once – without concern about network bandwidth.

MovingImage will be showcasing the movingimage EVP and participating as a Bronze Sponsor at Akamai’s 10th annual Edge customer conference, running from October 11th to October 13th in Las Vegas. The MovingImage secure EVP is powered by the Akamai content delivery network (CDN) and runs on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform. This combination guarantees fast, secure and reliable end-to-end delivery of video content to any device, anywhere in the world, while enabling enterprises to take advantage of key Azure features such as high performance and availability, unlimited scalability and the ability to take advantage of innovative service offerings such as Azure AI and machine learning for speech-to-text, pattern recognition and face recognition in video.

“Akamai makes conducting global business on the Internet a faster, more reliable and secure experience. By integrating Akamai’s value with the movingimage Enterprise Video Platform, we can extend this quality experience to a broader market with this initiative,” said John Sconyers, senior director, Global Cloud Services Partners at Akamai Technologies. “We look forward to supporting this expansion internationally.”

The MovingImage EVP is easily integrated into existing IT ecosystems, providing efficient data asset management and limitless video streaming. Microsoft Outlook and PowerPoint add-ins and SharePoint integration make it easy for users to create, distribute and publish videos while allowing administrators, editors and publishers to manage security settings, track which videos are online and which are unpublished and automatically update edited videos across every channel.

Enterprise-grade video security features such as single sign-on, IP-level security and encrypted streaming ensure confidential videos are limited in their viewership. And for companies that require it, the EVP can be specifically hosted in European datacenters that are subject to European data protection regulations.
