Gary San Angel is a Distance Education Specialist in Media Technology and created and manages the Soto Studio at the Department of Preventive Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. As part of the Southern California Clinical and Translational Science Institute (SC CTSI) Work Force Development Core, Gary provides instructional design, lecture capture and webcast support for their Career Development Series, Research Ethics Forums, and KL2 Training Program. 

Gary has worked over sixteen years in academia as technology support and video production specialist for the Office of Information and Resources and Technology (IRT) at Drexel University and Space Planning and Operations (SPO) at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania. Gary is also a documentary filmmaker and blogger for COMPONENTGEEK a site dedicated to the creation of films, reviews and tips of film gear and technology and its intersection with community-based artwork.
