Huawei US Architecture team is seeking an innovative, experienced Architect 
to lead the selection, evaluation, design and development of the analytics 
and data-mining components of NG-CDN’s Media Data Cloud (a distributed 
computing and data processing platform). This individual will work as a 
member of the Architecture team and will be responsible for the specification, 
design and development of key high-performance and scalable architecture 
components and tools. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of 
frameworks for large-scale data analysis, machine-learning, and agile web 
2.0 application development. The position requires previous hands-on 
experience with advanced data-mining solutions on petabytes of data using 
open source solutions.

Job Requirements

	Solid understanding of data-mining, data warehousing concepts, 
OLTP/OLAP systems. data-driven machine-learning, analytics, business 
intelligence visualization tools, users profiling, advertisement targeting, 
quantitative/behavioral analysis, statistical NLP of unstructured data, 
and regular expressions.
	5+ years of demonstrated expertise and desire to work hands-on 
in analyzing and modeling large datasets.
	Experience with data-mining algorithms for de-duplication, 
classification, clustering and processes for iterative improvement using 
training data.
	Exceptional analytical skills and ability to formalize architectural 
and design decisions.
	Hands-on experience with web application technologies for the 
purpose of prototyping.
	Ability to work in a fast-paced environment both as an individual 
contributor and a technical lead for planning and coordinating tasks with 
an offshore team.
	Experience in complete software development lifecycle, web 
services, as well as agile development processes and extreme 
programming.
	Experience in several of the following areas: 
-	Web 2.0 architectures, SOA/web services (XML/JSON-based RESTful/web 
APIs)
-	Java/J2EE (Spring, Hibernate), Ruby on Rails, PHP/LAMP
-	MySQL/PostgreSQL, high-performance distributed data storage and 
caching
-	UI web development knowledge and experience a plus (javascrip, Ajax, 
CSS…)
-	Linux (basic sys-admin skills, shell scripting, load testing, etc.)
	Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
	M.S. in Computer Science, or related technical discipline. Ph.D. 
with emphasis in data mining, machine learning, information retrieval, 
statistics, artificial intelligence a plus.
