Thomas co-founded Flumotion in 2006 and as CTO, heads a team of world-class developers. Flumotion was created as a Free Software project, combining the power of Python, Twisted and GStreamer. Thomas' in-depth understanding of open source technologies, as well as commercial requirements, has led Flumotion to develop innovative and market unique streaming services while remaining at the forefront of open standards on the web. In 2010, his team integrated the WebM format just 48 hours after its market launch by Google, and provided the world's first live streaming of an event in WebM. The technology has received three Streaming Media awards and one Editors' Pick recommendation. Thomas' latest development is a cloud-based live transcoding service, LiveTranscoding.com, that enables content providers to transcode a single live stream in real-time into multiple outputs covering all major formats, codecs and devices.
