Matt Szatmary is a senior video encoding engineer at Twitch (www.twitch.tv) where he develops next generation encoding services and playback technologies to serve live video to one of the Internet's largest audiences. Mr. Szatmary has over 10 years of experience building software for digital media. From automation for satellite distribution at Ford Motor Company to audio fingerprinting and recognition at All Media Guide, he has wide ranging experience developing leading edge technologies in media processing and delivery. In 2007 Matt joined Move Networks, an early pioneer of HTTP adaptive streaming, where he developed video clients for the then emerging mobile market. After several years of consulting Matt joined Zencoder; a leader in cloud video transcoding services. In February, 2013, he brought his deep bench of experience to Twitch.
