Brian Hughes is an Assistant Professor of Media Arts at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. He teaches courses on filmmaking, digital production, video editing and sound design. Most recently he and his students planned and executed a series of Podcasts for the university community. Hughes specializes in teaching the next generation of media producers. As digital production tools get stronger, the entry price point for equipment and software continues to drop. This revolution in access to tools is rapidly undermining the traditional broadcasting model, and Hughes thinks that is a good thing!
