Ben has worked at Wiley since 2009, originally from a SharePoint intranet development background he now leads Wiley's Content Enrichment initiative, leading a team of knowledge engineers and developers towards making Content Enrichment a business-as-usual activity at Wiley. Leading such an initiative within a 210-year-old company requires considerable attention to securing buy-in from internal and external partners, as well as educating and influencing stakeholders across the organisation to sponsoring Enrichment & Taxonomy initiatives. Content Enrichment at Wiley is a 5-year-and-counting-old initiative, having secured business buy-in in the first place and defining a novel approach to working outside of the traditional project construct, our mantra is “monitor and adapt”: forcing us to constantly review our way of working and encouraging everyone involved to contribute suggestions of improvement.
