As videographers who specialize in corporate events and weddings, we at Edit 1 Media often find shooting live events challenging, anticipating what will happen next all while weaving a story through the power of video. Filming Same-Day Edits adds another layer of complexity but the rewards far outweigh the stress involved.
In fact, producing a Same-Day Edit for one of our wedding clients in 2005 ultimately led to us acquiring our largest corporate client. The groom, who was a CEO of Aegis Living, an assisted living company, found the value in producing these instant edits and wanted to incorporate one into his Annual Executive Directors Meeting in Seattle.
After meeting with him and his staff at the corporate office, it became clear that this was to be no ordinary corporate meeting. Usually, annual meetings for large corporations encompass several days of going over company financials, sales goals, marketing ideas, and company growth. The focus of this meeting was to improve the overall health and well-being of the executive directors.
This would be accomplished through attending several team-building exercises, listening to motivational speakers, and having the opportunity to bond with each other.
