CalDigit Adds New Functionality to Thunderbolt Station

Today CalDigit, the company of choice for the content creation industry, announces that the CalDigit Thunderbolt™ Station now features extra functionality. The CalDigit Thunderbolt™ Station can now charge iOS devices, and can power the Apple SuperDrive.

Today CalDigit is announcing that the CalDigit Thunderbolt™ Station now has extra functionality. The CalDigit Thunderbolt™ Station can now fully charge iOS devices such as iPads and iPhones. Many Thunderbolt™ expansion docks do not feature the ability to charge iOS devices. This is something that CalDigit customers have requested, and a feature that adds to the already large feature set of the Thunderbolt™ Station.

The CalDigit Thunderbolt™ Station is now fully capable of powering the Apple SuperDrive CD drive. The majority of other Thunderbolt™ expansion docks are not capable of powering this device. The new update to the Thunderbolt™ Station adds support for powering the SuperDrive. As well as this, the Thunderbolt™ Station is also fully compatible with the official Apple keyboard.

Customers who have already purchased the Thunderbolt™ Station can add this functionality by installing the driver update for OS X 10.9.2 from the CalDigit website.
