MonitorIQ helps broadcasters capture content from multiple sources, create content, and publish to multiple digital platforms while monitoring for quality and compliance; Monarch HDX extends MonitorIQ's ability to monitor sources in remote locations where a client has a temporary event
Matrox® Video today announced that Digital Nirvana Inc. has selected the Matrox Monarch HDX streaming and recording appliance to add important new functionality to its MonitorIQ media management platform.
MonitorIQ helps broadcasters capture content from multiple sources, create content, and publish to multiple digital platforms while monitoring for quality and compliance.
Matrox Monarch HDX can be used to add support for HDMI sources and cloud-based recording. It extends MonitorIQ's ability to monitor sources in remote locations where a client has a temporary event and it increases ROI because MonitorIQ can then be used to monitor multiple streams from multiple locations. Clients get centralized access on a single, web-based interface to streams that are geographically spread out. Monarch HDX is easy to deploy by simply plugging in a video source and connecting to a network. An added advantage is that the device can be configured remotely by the Digital Nirvana team.
“We used the Matrox Monarch HDX API to integrate live streaming and recording functionality into MonitorIQ,” said Hiren Hindocha, Digital Nirvana’s president and CEO. “Broadcasters can now perform confidence monitoring on multiple feeds from other countries from a single location and we envision a variety of other use cases for the Matrox appliance as well.”
“The Digital Nirvana platform provides a convenient user interface to access, view, analyze, export, repurpose and share content,” said Alberto Cieri, senior director of sales and marketing, Matrox Video. “Their support for the easy-to-use Monarch HDX will appeal to institutions looking to record or stream events with minimal setup, including houses of worship, universities, hospitals, municipal governments and local broadcasters who may not have budgets to invest in expensive recording units.”
Matrox and Digital Nirvana solutions can be seen in action at the 2016 NAB Show (Las Vegas, April 18-21) in the Matrox booth SL6317 and the Digital Nirvana booth SU10410.
