Dulce Systems Corp., a provider of world-class storage solutions, today announced it is now shipping its next-generation PRO Qs. A small four drive disk Array that supports 3.5”, 2.5” and 1.8” SATA or SSD drives in the same RAID tower.
Building on the success of the previous “PRO Q” and the “PRO DSqp” the new PRO Qs has been specifically designed for flexibility without compromising performance or reliability that Dulce’s systems products are renowned for. The PRO Qs provides the content creator the flexibility to transfer digital content from a 1.8” or 2.5” SSD directly to the PRO Qs two 3.5” SATA or SSD drives.
The PRO Qs uses the 40 Gb/sec PCI-express 8 lane Extender technology to extend the computer’s PCI-express bus to the PRO Qs enclosure. This enables the hardware-based, high performance RAID controller to be housed in the PRO Qs enclosure which allows it to run at full speed.
Vision the possibilities – Out on location you will be able to transfer your digital content from small, expensive 1.8” or 2.5” SSD drives to less expensive larger capacity 3.5” disk drives. The PRO Qs is Mac, Windows and Linux compatible, and works with Apple’s Final Cut Studio, Adobe’s Premiere Pro, Avid’s Media Composer and other popular video editing and creation tools.
