Matrox Enhances ISO Recording Capabilities on VS4 Card

Matrox VS4 not only sends video feeds to Wirecast for streaming, it simultaneously provides ISO recording of all the original video and audio feeds to disk, which is essential for high-quality post-event editing

Matrox® Video today announced the immediate availability of support for Telestream® Wirecast® 4.2.4 for Windows® and enhanced ISO recording capabilities on the Matrox VS4™ card. Matrox VS4 not only sends video feeds to Wirecast for streaming, it simultaneously provides ISO recording of all the original video and audio feeds to disk, which is essential for high-quality post-event editing. Now, direct capture of DV, DVCPRO®, DVCPRO50 and DVCPRO HD® to MOV files enables editing with popular apps from Adobe®, Apple® and Avid®.

"We've expanded Matrox ISO recording to include additional codecs so customers can post produce live events using their editing platform of choice," said Wayne Andrews, product manager at Matrox. "With support for these additional codecs, and especially the QuickTime® MOV wrapper, this update gives the VS4/Wirecast solution the complete versatility live event producers need to make the most of their video assets."

Matrox streaming production solutions for Wirecast will be demonstrated at the 2013 NAB Show in booth SL4616.

Price and availability
Priced at $1,495 US (€1295, £995) not including local taxes and delivery, Matrox VS4 is now available through a worldwide network of authorized dealers. Full turnkey HD streaming production systems are available from some certified systems builders starting at under $5000. Support for Wirecast 4.2.4 for Windows is part of Matrox driver release 1.1, which is available to registered users as a free download from the Matrox website. About Matrox Video
