LiveScrypt is an AI-based speech-to-text transcription solution that enables everyone to engage with live events as they happen - regardless of any hearing impediment, native language, or distraction.
Epiphan Video, a leader in professional audiovisual capture, recording, and streaming products announces LiveScrypt, an innovative live transcription solution, at this year’s Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) conference in Amsterdam and will be demoed at Stand 11-B110.
LiveScrypt is an AI-based speech-to-text transcription solution that enables everyone to engage with live events as they happen - regardless of any hearing impediment, native language, or distraction.
“Looking at the industry, many post-production transcription services exist, but that doesn’t work for live events because it’s after the fact,” says Greg Quirk, Product Manager at Epiphan. “With LiveScrypt, all attendees have access to real-time transcriptions of what’s being said for greater accessibility – whether that’s displayed on monitors throughout the venue or on personal smart devices.”
LiveScrypt combines dedicated hardware with an AI-driven transcription service in the cloud for affordable, real-time transcription. Next generation, AI-based transcription enables LiveScrypt to transcribe with 85% to 90% accuracy – or better! LiveScrypt fluidly adds punctuation and on-the-fly corrections based on the confidence of words in context. For even greater accuracy, North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes for standardized industry-related terms are supported.
“LiveScrypt costs a fraction of real-time human transcriptions and has the added benefit of always being accessible,” continued Quirk. “All you need is your LiveScrypt account plus device, power, an audio input, and a connection to the Internet. You can count on LiveScrypt for accurate transcriptions that are ready when you are.”
Live transcription is ideal for legislative assemblies, conferences, church sermons, training and education, corporate communications, and any live event where visual accessibility of the spoken message is needed.
General availability of Epiphan’s LiveScrypt solution is planned for Q2.
