The VBrick 9000 Series H.264 encoders use purpose-built hardware running a real-time operating system to combine encoding, networking, stream serving and recording functions to deliver exceptional price-performance and ease-of-use. The VBrick 9000 Series Presentation Appliance, VBrick’s latest addition to the 9000 Series line, enables non-technical presenters to use a simple, web-based interface to combine audio, camera inputs and VGA/ HDMI/DVI/DisplayPort desktop capture inputs into one, H.264 video stream.
The new qualification enables all VBrick 9000 Series encoder customers to capture and push video streams directly to Akamai Intelligent Platform entry points for high quality global delivery.
Akamai’s Media Delivery Solutions for live and linear video streaming support RTMP, HDS, HLS, Smooth, and DASH formats, offering users greater flexibility to reach an ever-increasing array of connected devices. The solutions are designed to help simplify the complexities of delivering high-quality video at ever-increasing scale while minimizing the chance of quality loss through local network issues and congestion.
“We are constantly looking for ways to simplify our customers’ ability to leverage the Akamai Intelligent Platform for their streaming needs. With the VBrick 9000 Series encoder qualification, we are delighted to offer VBrick’s widely deployed enterprise encoder customers a new, high quality delivery option for their streaming needs,” said Kurt Michel, Director of Product Marketing, Media Delivery Solutions, Akamai.
“Akamai qualification means that our VBrick 9000 Series customers now have a streamlined, supported workflow that enables them to enjoy live video streaming via the Akamai global CDN,” said Shelly Heiden, CEO of VBrick.
