VITEC, a worldwide leader in advanced digital video solutions, has announced support of HEVC/H.265 video standard through its HDM850+,1080p60 3G-SDI decoder card.
HDM850+ is fully featured for professional broadcast applications such as content distribution, station/news automation, and quality control or simply for rendering the latest video standards. Featuring unique frame accurate playback and compatible with HEVC, H.264 and MPEG-2 video standards, HDM850+ is the most advanced and versatile decoder card available on the market.

HDM850+ is a PCIe based decoder for use by end users as well as integrators. It decodes and displays video up to 1080p60 over 3G-SDI or HDMI. The available codecs are HEVC up to MP@4.1, H.264 up to Hi10P@L4.2 and MPEG-2 up to HP@HL. File format compatibility includes MXF OP1a & OP-Atom, MOV, MP4, and MPEG-2 PS & TS.
It is now possible to display HEVC clips or stream over SDI / HDMI using a professional decoder card. For existing HDM850 customers, a firmware upgrade is available.

Shipping date: September 2013. HDM850+ and HDM850 firmware upgrade are available for pre-orders now through the VITEC worldwide dealer network.
