Karin Gilford is currently Director of On-Demand Services for Yahoo! Music. In her current role, Ms. Gilford is charged with overseeing the strategy and development of digital music services and products to provide Yahoo! consumers the most comprehensive music experience on the Web. In her position, Ms. Gilford spearheaded the successful launch of the Yahoo! Music Engine application and its subscription service, Yahoo! Music Unlimited. Ms. Gilford is charged with guiding the development of Yahoo! Music’s on-demand services across various distribution channels with digital living room, mobile and access partners.

Prior to her current position, Ms. Gilford was Director of Business Development for LAUNCH , the music destination on Yahoo!, where she fostered and managed strategic relationships with major consumer electronics companies to help drive Yahoo!’s continued participation within the connected device marketplace.

Prior to joining LAUNCH, Ms. Gilford worked in Business Development for Paramount Pictures where she developed financial models and business plans for output deals and identified opportunities to exploit Paramount Pictures filmed entertainment products in foreign markets. Previously, Karin served in Ernst & Young’s Audit, Assurance, and Business Advisory Services Group’s entertainment practice.

Ms. Gilford holds a BA in business administration from Cal State Northridge, a MBA from the University of Southern California and is a CPA.
