Cyril Concolato received his Master and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from Telecom Paris, France, respectively in 2000 and 2007. He has been an Associate Professor with the Multimedia Group of Telecom Paris for 10 years, where his research focused on interactive multimedia applications, and particularly on Web and media technologies. In 2017, he joined Netflix, as a Senior Software Engineer, in the Media Systems/Encoding Technologies group, improving the ingestion and packaging of audio, video, images and timed text content. He is an active participant to the standardization bodies of MPEG, AOM and W3C. He is the co-chair of MPEG's CMAF group, the chair of AOM's Metadata working group, and the editor of several standards, including the carriage of AV1 video streams in CMAF. He is one of the project leaders of the Open Source Project GPAC contributing namely to MP4Box and MP4Box.js.
