Imran Maskatia serves as a Product and Engineering Advisor to companies in the consumer media and technology realms. He has worked with startups and large multinational companies. In addition, he is an active investor and advisor to startups. Previously, he was the VP of Product Development for Evoca TV. There, he led the design and development of the hybrid broadcast/broadband video streaming service. He and his team also built the world first ATSC 3 set-top boxes to launch to consumers. Before that, he was the SVP of Engineering at Ooyala, a cloud video platform. He also founded and led Product Management for Redbox Instant, a joint venture between Redbox and Verizon and led software engineering and program management teams at Microsoft. He received his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Computer Science from Stanford University focusing in Human-Computer Interaction. He has been named as an inventor on 40+ issued and pending patents. He enjoys community activism, making ice cream, and playing with his daughters.
