Matt Farina serves as Senior Vice President, Content Distribution at NBCUniversal. Farina is responsible for the monetization and multi-platform distribution of NBCUniversal’s portfolio of television networks, VOD content, and streaming products. He also leads the department’s efforts to drive viewership and monetization across all distribution platforms by identifying new content opportunities and optimizing the consumer experience for NBCUniversal’s Tentpole programming.
Farina started at NBCUniversal in August 2010 as a sales planner in Digital Ad Sales. He later transitioned within Ad Sales to a technical role managing Digital Video Ad Integrations where he expanded partnerships with publishers, ad tech companies, and platform distributors. In this role he was responsible for integrating NBCU’s video ad server, Freewheel, with video players across the entire NBCU portfolio. His efforts resulted in increased video advertising revenue and created efficiencies across all ad operation and ad sales departments. Farina later joined NBCU’s Content Distribution Team in June of 2014 as a Director of Digital Product Development & Strategy where he led the launches of product integrations with NBCU content on distributor platforms.
Prior to joining NBCUniversal, Farina worked in the in the home entertainment industry at Entertainment One (E1) focusing on brick and mortar distribution for independent record label and film studio partners.
Farina is a Five Towns College graduate with a B.P.S. in Business Management and a concentration in Music Business.
