Erik has been working with online media since founding Seattle’s first Internet Cafe in 1995. As an Application Engineer for RealNetworks in 1997 he developed streaming video applications for CNN and ABCNews as well as tools to monitor the Real Broadcast Network. He joined Virage in 2000 to lead their video services team and then co-founded Webcast-in-a-Box with Chris Dawson in 2003. Erik worked for several enterprise video companies in Product Management and Business Development roles, including Ramp where he invented the “HLS Multicast” method for scaling HTML5 video. Erik is now CEO of Vivoh which is a leading provider of enterprise multicast video apps for all-hands meetings.
