Apple TV, Xbox, Roku, TiVo & More: Download Free Comparison Chart
One of the highlights of last week's Streaming Media East conference in New York City was the Broadband Device Pavilion, where attendees could go hands-on with more than 50 over-the-top devices and connected TVs all from one location. Visitors could also pick up a helpful chart offering an in-depth comparison of all the most popular set-top boxes.
Those who couldn't attend the show, however, aren't out of luck. We're presenting the chart here for free download. Simply click the image below to get your own PDF copy. If you're looking to buy a device from Apple, Boxee, Roku, WD, or more, and aren't sure which one meets your needs, look to this chart first. Which game console doesn't offer 1080p video? Which boxes lack Wi-Fi connectivity? Does the device you're looking at offer access to Netflix, Hulu Plus, and MLB.TV? This chart can tell you.
The chart was created by StreamingMedia.com's executive vice president Dan Rayburn, who notes that readers can always find the most recent version of the chart by clicking on www.StreamingMediaDevices.com.
"The device specs on the chart were signed off on by each manufacturer, except for Apple," notes Rayburn.
