Testing the Boxee Box, WD TV Live Plus, and WD TV Live Hub
At this year's Streaming Media East conference in New York City, set-top boxes were stars. The conference's new Device Pavilion let attendees sample over 20 TV-connected devices all from one place. And some devices even took to the main stage.
Is this video from the conference, Dale Pistilli, the vice president of marketing for Western Digital, showed off two devices, the WD TV Live Plus and the WD TV Live Hub.
"We got into this space in kind of an interesting way, which was basically about listening to our customers," Pistilli said.
Next up, Andrew Kippen, the vice president of marketing for Boxee, demonstrated the Boxee Box.
"We actually started out as software for Macs and PCs and Linux users, and now we're up to about 1.7 million users across the globe," said Kippen.

As the number of broadband-enabled devices invading the living room continues to grow, lots of questions remain about their capabilities. In this session, company executives will demo the Boxee Box by D-Link and the WD TV Live Plus and WD TV Live Hub.
