With Real-Time Dashboard, ThinkAnalytics Offers KPIs, Viewer Data
London-based ThinkAnalytics is known as a search and recommendations specialist, but it's unveiling a new product at NAB that will change that. Called ThinkInsight, the offering is a modular platform that gives an instant, real-time view of viewer and customer behavior. Aimed at pay TV and over-the-top (OTT) providers, it provides a larger view of how customers interact across channels, and delivers important key performance indicators (KPIs). Pulling data from multiple sources, it provides information on billing and purchasing, user interface adoption, demographics, language preference, and more for all devices.
The data in ThinkInsight can be used multiple ways, the company says. Pay TV and OTT providers can use it to better negotiate with rights holders about the value of content. Its dashboards can help marketers run personalized campaigns. With growing competition in the streaming video entertainment space, the company is trying to prove its value by helping customers make smarter decisions with customer data to increase revenue. One goal is boosting revenue from loyal customers by developing new revenue streams.
ThinkInsights is a modular platform that includes the company's Search and Recommendations Engine, ThinkBigData, and ThinkMarketing Suite. Customers can select the modules they want, and will be able to channel customer data into their dynamic ad insertion platform or any other third-party service.
"ThinkInsight allows marketing professionals to understand what is working well through deep content understanding and adaptive real-time learning from consumer behavior," says Peter Docherty, founder and chief technology officer at ThinkAnalytics. "Presenting this actionable data in easy-to-use dashboards allows marketers to rapidly react to changing dynamics in the market and facilitate more effective and highly targeted campaigns."
ThinkAnalytics notes that its Recommendation Engine currently delivers 75 billion recommendations each month. The company offers on-premises and cloud-based solutions.
Anyone who wants to get a better look at ThinkInsight will find ThinkAnalytics in the upper floor of South Hall at NAB later this month in Las Vegas, Nevada.
