Alper Turgut, CEO and president of Anvato, stopped by the 2014 Streaming Media East conference to show why 300 local stations and several major broadcasters trust his company's comprehensive TV Everywhere platform.

Anvato's core product is MCP, an end-to-end TV Everywhere platform.

"MCP stands for Media Content Platform. It is the product that the leading broadcasters use to manage their live encoding, video on-demand encoding, meta-tagging, distribution, and end-to-end management," said Turgut. "It also includes features for monetization, so they can monetize their video assets on every screen, including mobile and desktop devices."

Turgut wasn't at Streaming Media East simply to talk about existing products. His company announced a new product that week, one designed to help with field reporting.

"The new product is Anvato Cloud Live," Turgut explained. "Cloud Live product takes the same quality and the experience that the leading TV broadcasters have and brings it to the video producers. It allows individual producers from the field to generate a live signal and distribute that live signal, play that on multiple devices, and also create clips for social sharing and distribution."

Eric: Hi. I’m Eric Schumacher-Rasmussen, and I’m at the 2014 Streaming Media East show in New York. And I’m here with Alper Turgut, who is the CEO and President of Anvato. Welcome.

Alper: Thank you, Eric.

Eric: Good to see you again. I saw you at the NAB show where Anvato won a Streaming Media Best of NAB award. But for our viewers who don’t know what Anvato is, tell us about Anvato.

Alper: Absolutely. Anvato is the leading TV Everywhere platform that does all of its magic in software. We are the only platform that combines live and on-demand video management, syndication and distribution for leading TV broadcasters.

Eric: And which broadcasters are currently using Anvato?

Alper: NBC Universal, Fox Sports, Gray Television, Hearst Television, and the list goes on. We are deployed in about 300 local stations and we own the 28 networks distribution and live streaming for NBC.

Eric: So Anvato’s core product is MCP, right?

Alper: Correct.

Eric: What exactly is MCP?

Alper: MCP stands for Media Content Platform. It is the product that the leading broadcasters use to manage their live encoding, video on-demand encoding, meta-tagging, distribution and end-to-end management. It also includes features for monetization, so they can monetize their video assets on every screen, including mobile and desktop devices.

Eric: Now you’ve also announced a new product this week. Tell our viewers about your new product.

Alper: The new product is Anvato Cloud Live. Cloud Live product takes the same quality and the experience that the leading TV broadcasters have and brings it to the video producers. It allows individual producer from the field to generate a live signal and distribute that live signal, play that on multiple devices and also create clips for social sharing and distribution.

Eric: And how is that solution different from competing solutions that might be out there?

Alper: This is a technology platform. We do not take any ad inventory or ad inventory share. It’s a license model. Our job is to empower the producer to provide the best experience in high-end events. Therefore we provide premium support through us and through partners, we provide leading-edge quality, including 10 ADP streaming and video editing that are at the fingertips of the producer.

Eric: Great. Now Anvato is a company that we’re watching closely here at Streaming Media, and if you want to learn more about them, you can find out more at www.Anvato.com. Thanks again, Alper.

Alper: Thank you.
