Mirror Image Shows Publisher 5.0's New Customization Options

DDN (dynamic delivery network) Mirror Image attended the 2014 Streaming Media East conference to show off its newly released Publisher 5.0 platform. Company CRO Charlie White explained why this version is more customizable.
"Publisher 5.0 is a platform that we’ve released, upgrading our previous Publisher platform, to not only bring to market a whole new set of capabilities that we’ve been working on as an organization, but also to upgrade the interfaces of our OVP publisher, and bring a whole set of public API’s into play for some of our larger customers that want to be able to develop more customized solutions," White explained.
Besides seeing the new Publisher, Streaming Media East attendees were able to hear about upcoming Mirror Image products, including on that solves big data problems.
"We have some very exciting products that we’re obviously previewing here today, but we have one other very exciting product that we’re launching within probably the next 45 days or so which is more on the application logic side of our business, but it’s going to allow us to be able to solve bigger problems for customers that need access to large data sets to be able to make the types of decisions that their systems require," White said.

Eric: Hi. I’m Eric Schumacher-Rasmussen, and I’m here at Streaming Media East in New York City, with Charlie White, the Chief Revenue Officer of Mirror Image. Charlie, welcome.
Charlie: Thank you, Eric. Good to be here.
Eric: Good to see you again. Last time we talked was at Streaming Media West back in Huntington Beach in November. What’s new with Mirror Image since then?
Charlie: Well, it’s been a busy six months since that last show. You know, over the course of that time we have obviously brought on lots of great new clients, and actually getting ready to launch some new products.
Eric: And one of those would be Publisher 5.0, right? You’re introducing that, or previewing it at least, here at Streaming Media East.
Charlie: That is absolutely correct. So--
Eric: Tell me about that.
Charlie: So Publisher 5.0 is a platform that we’ve released, upgrading our previous Publisher platform, to not only bring to market a whole new set of capabilities that we’ve been working on as an organization, but also to upgrade the interfaces of our OVP publisher. And bring a whole set of public API’s into play for some of our larger customers that want to be able to develop more customized solutions.
Eric: What kind of custom video solutions are you talking about and are you working with customers on at Mirror Image?
Charlie: At the end of the day, anything that is videocentric from a workflow perspective or a delivery perspective. We have a set of tools and a professional services team that can help customers be able to integrate our capabilities directly either into their workflow, their application, or create something essentially from scratch that they can take to market themselves.
Eric: So Charlie, what else is on the horizon for Mirror Image in 2014?
Charlie: Good question. We have some very exciting products that we’re obviously previewing here today, but we have one other very exciting product that we’re launching within probably the next 45 days or so which is more on the application logic side of our business, but it’s going to allow us to be able to solve bigger problems for customers that need access to large data sets to be able to make the types of decisions that their systems require.
Eric: Mm-hm.
Charlie: To be able to deliver the right type of response for that type of request across our delivery network.
Eric: Okay.
Charlie: And I will make sure that we have a chance to preview that with you guys when we’re ready.
Eric: Okay. So you said people should be able to find out a little bit more about that hopefully by summertime?
Charlie: Absolutely.
