Anystream Debuts Agility Workgroup SE

Anystream (www.anystream.com), an Internet infrastructure software company specializing in streaming media encoding technology, has launched Agility Workgroup SE, a streamlined version of its Agility Workgroup encoder. The company bills the Agility Workgroup SE as an entry-level version of its Agility Workgroup offering the same functionality, with the exception that the input must be a digital file. The regular workgroup also accepts live and tape-based input.

Agility Workgroup SE acts as a shared network resource, and Anystream states that it provides as much as a tenfold increase in streaming media output when matched against widely used desktop tools and manually intensive processes. Agility Workgroup SE reaches these economies through software automation: it automatically acquires content from digital file sources, applies highly sophisticated preprocessing profiles, encodes jobs into every major streaming format and delivers pristine streams to any IP-accessible server - all without human intervention.

Based on Anystream's Agility architecture, Agility Workgroup SE is fully modular and scalable, allowing clients the option to upgrade to its full-function Agility Workgroup encoder.
