Aryaka Debuts CDN for Enterprise Customers

This week Aryaka, a company that specializes in application and network performance services, announced its first CDN, one created specifically for the needs of enterprise customers. The CDN combines a private core network with caching, compression, and TCP optimization on globally located points-of-presence (POPs).

Aryaka says its CDN stands apart because, rather than offering origin-to-edge optimization like standard CDNs, it offers multi-segment TCP optimization for each leg of delivery, including the last mile. By doing so, Aryaka says it will offer reliable delivery for static and dynamic content for enterprise clients in any location.

As CDN service has become commoditized, Aryaka says that vendors have focused on popular content at the expense of the enterprise. One benefit to its CDN, says Aryaka, is that home office and mobile enterprise customers won't have to compete for bandwidth and edge capacity against large content companies. With public internet middle-mile connectivity problems gone, customers will be able to stream the content they need at any time.

"Aryaka’s CDN combined with our global WAN services meets the urgent need for high-performance, business-class connectivity and optimization for both private and public users who absolutely must access important enterprise content from anywhere, on any device," says Ajit Gupta, Aryaka's founder and CEO. "As businesses expand internationally, this need becomes even more pressing."
