AtomFilms Syndicates Content to TiVo, iN Demand and others
AtomFilms (www.atomfilms.com) has announced several syndication deals that the company hopes will significantly expand the company's offline audience. TiVo, iN Demand and Cisneros Television Group have announced that they will distribute titles from AtomFilms' catalog to their viewers and customers.
AtomFilms' content will be available on digital video recorders through TiVo's Personal TV service, and Atom will provide films and animations for TiVo's weekly interactive TV show, TiVo Takes, as well as to TiVo Direct. Atom also states that they will be working with TiVo in the future to create new profit-generating content for the TiVo (www.tivo.com) platform.
AtomFilms will also be the exclusive shorts provider for iN DEMAND, a national pay-per-view network. iN DEMAND (www.indemand.com) serves over 1,900 affiliated systems with approximately 28 million addressable households. AtomFilms states that beginning in March, iN DEMAND customers will have the opportunity to enjoy some of most popular Atom content, including compilations and individual titles.
AtomFilms has also announced a new effort to establish itself as a short form entertainment leader in Latin America with its partnership with Cisneros Television Group (CTG), a leading pay TV programming provider in Ibero America. Starting in March of 2001, more than 100 Atom shorts will be featured in front of Latin American audiences, through CTG's (www.cisnerostv.com) channel I-SAT, in its popular "Cortos" show and through Locomotion, CTG's animation channel for young adults in the digital era.
