AtomShockwave Re-Launches Web Site, Adds New Content

AtomShockwave announced new versions of its Web sites, AtomFilms (www.atomfilms.com) and Shockwave.com ( www.shockwave.com).

According to the company, the two sites have a new look and feel, with new possibilities for advertising. The site now includes ways to download content, so visitors will be able to save certain games and films.

"We are excited to launch new versions of the AtomFilms.com and Shockwave.com Web sites, as we continue delivering the most powerful and exciting entertainment experience available online," said Scott Roesch, general manager and executive producer at AtomShockwave Corp. "Both sites demonstrate the growing value of online entertainment to consumers, advertisers, content creators and sponsors. This launch positions us to further extend our leadership position in the industry."

As part of the re-launch, AtomFilms released some high-profile films, like Jim Belushi's animation series "The Greedy Show," and a live-action comedy called "The Last Real Cowboys," directed by Jeff Lester, and starring Billy Bob Thornton.

"I'm thrilled to be launching my first animated comedy series, "The Greedy Show" on the new AtomFilms Web site," said Jim Belushi, in a statement. "Having an instantaneous, worldwide audience of entertainment thrill seekers is something any creator strives for when looking to debut a new ensemble mixed with raunchy humor, endless greed, and intelligent stupidity."

The shows are some of the first new shows to come out of the recently merged company. After completing the merger between Shockwave.com and AtomFilms earlier this year, the combined company laid off a slew of workers and cut down on the acquisition of new content.

Year-Long Streaming Deal with iBEAM

Additionally, AtomShockwave said that iBEAM is now the exclusive provider of streaming video services for AtomFilms. The site will use iBEAM's streaming ad solution, "Advertising Agent," which allows content owners to add advertisements before or after videos. According to AtomShockwave, early trials of the system showed that the advertisements received click-through rates of between 5 percent and 30 percent. iBEAM said it customized its ad insertion technology to support DoubleClick's ad platform, DART.

"We are pleased to have served AtomShockwave's streaming video content as they've taken their visionary steps to exploit the Internet's potential as an entertainment medium," said iBEAM Chairman, President and CEO Peter Desnoes. "Household broadband adoption continues to grow substantially and iBEAM is well positioned to take advantage of this surge by offering the most powerful and sophisticated streaming advertising solutions to our media customers."

Current sponsors include Ford Motors, Levi's, Sony PlayStation, SBC Communications, The Gaming Club Online Casino, The River Belle Online Casino, and many more.
