Beachfront Media Debuts Video SDKs for iOS and Android
Giving developers a way to add video to new or existing mobile apps, Beachfront Media today introduced video SDKs (software development kits) for iOS and Android devices. Beachfront, which creates online video solutions for publishers and advertisers, says the offering is a developer-centric version of its self-service video app creation tool, Beachfront Builder. The SDKs give developers additional customization options and work with existing apps.
Using the Beachfront SDKs, developers can add videos from any source that Beachfront supports, including YouTube, Dailymotion, Vimeo, media RSS feeds, and others. They can also use one dashboard to manage video content for a variety of devices. The dashboard displays analytics including viewer usage and engagement.
Customers are also able to monetize videos with the SDKs, since they work with the Beachfront.iO video ad platform.
"With this announcement, we are removing the complex challenges associated with multi-platform video in app environments. Our Video SDKs make it easy to deploy, measure, and monetize video into apps, across every device, platform or experience,” says Frank Sinton, the CEO and founder of Beachfront Media.
The iOS and Android SDKs are available on GitHub.
In January, Beachfront announced that Beachfront Builder now creates apps for several connected TV platforms.
