Video search engine Blinkx now offers a lot more videos for searching. It announced a partnership with Internet Video Archive that makes IVA's library of videos fully searchable by Blinkx users. IVA is an aggregator of movie and television trailers, game previews, and music videos for the entertainment industry.

The IVA library includes over 500,000 videos from over 1,000 sources. Contributing movie studios include Warner Bros, Paramount, and MGM. Game publishers include Nintendo, Capcom, and Namco.

Internet Video Archive is known as a leading source of entertainment video samples. The company runs two consumer sites: videodetective.com and singingfool.com.

In all, Blinkx has indexed more than 35 million hours of video and audio content.

"Internet Video Archive is a veritable treasure trove of video for film buffs, music lovers, and gamers," says Suranga Chandratillake, founder and CEO of Blinkx. "This partnership greatly expands Blinkx's ever popular entertainment index, and will help us deliver an even better experience for our audience."

"As the world's largest distributor of previews, we are committed to delivering our content across premium platforms that allow us to reach a wide variety of consumers," says Rhodes Mason, vice president of business development for IVA. "Blinkx's advanced search technology ensures that our trailers and previews are more easily discoverable to Web viewers looking for entertainment."
