Brightcove Launches Live Event Solution Within Brightcove Gallery

Create internal or external live video events without going to the IT department. That’s the promise of Brightcove Gallery Live Event, an all-in-one toolkit the video cloud services company launched yesterday.

The live features are offered within Brightcove Gallery, the company’s publishing solution for creating video destinations such as landing pages and portals. With its new live event capabilities, Gallery can be used to promote live events ahead of time, stream the events, then organize the video afterwards.

Gallery Live Event’s pre-event promotion tools include a countdown clock, forms to capture marketing leads, and widgets that encourage people to share the event to their friends and followers. The live streaming component creates a destination page and offers viewer chat and sharing features to create an online community around the stream. After the event, Brightcove helps the organizer create video on-demand (VOD) pages for viewers would couldn’t take part in the live stream. Viewers can opt to sign up for future event notifications.

Brightcove Gallery Live Event is available now to Brightcove Video Marketing Suite customers.

“With Brightcove Gallery Live Event, we are making the power of live video more accessible than ever with an intuitive toolkit that makes it easy to create destination pages to promote and publish live streamed events,” says Linda Crowe, vice president of digital marketing at Brightcove. “This new solution is yet another feature in the Brightcove Video Marketing Suite that is built specifically for marketers to make video a powerful part of the modern marketer’s toolset.”
