DaCast Offers $10,000 Worth of Bandwidth in Prizes
***Date Corrected***
The self-service live streaming platform DaCast launched only one month ago, and to drum up some interest it's holding a splashy holiday giveaway. Entrants will need to be fast if they want to win.
Starting at 8 AM PST on Thursday, December 16, interested parties will need to sign into the site to enter the contest. The fist 400 to do so will get a portion of the $10,000 of streaming bandwidth that DaCast is giving away.
That bandwidth will let entrants plan their own online broadcast using DaCast's self-service features. DaCast uses EdgeCast Networks as its content delivery network.
The contest will run for 12 hours, closing the same day at 8 PM PT. Those who win will get 30 days to redeem their prize. Only those in the United States are eligible to enter.
"DaCast is kicking off the season by spreading holiday cheer with a special contest and free prizes," says Stephane Roulland, the company's CEO. "We are going to give away $10,000.00 worth of prizes to celebrate our successful launch and show our appreciation to all our users and visitors interested in live streaming."
DaCast is based in San Francisco and has a European office in Paris, France.
