Eveo Opens European Office

User-generated video company Eveo Inc. has opened a European division in London and appointed Yoel Kenan as vice president, Europe. Most recently, Kenan was vice president of marketing at the e-commerce and technology division of Universal Music Group.

"The broadband and digital video market is growing rapidly in Europe. Eveo, building on its success in the U.S., is poised to expand its presence in the exploding European market," said Eveo founder and CEO Olivier Zitoun.

Kenan will be responsible for overseeing Eveo's expansion in Europe and extending the company's international presence by forging alliances and distribution deals with European OEMs, and content and technology partners.

Eveo was founded last summer and has garnered investment from Mission Ventures, Media Technology Ventures, Greenstone Ventures, Thomson Multimedia, Sonera Corp., GIMV, and Deustche Bank Alex Brown.
