Evoke Communications Launches European Headquarters

Evoke Communications (www.evoke.com), has announced the launch of its European headquarters, Evoke Communications Europe ( www.evoke.fr). The company's flagship international offices are located in Paris and will provide European businesses with Evoke Communications' virtual meeting services, including web conferencing, web collaboration and web-based streaming seminars.

"This is a first step in our strategy to offer Evoke Communications' virtual meeting services to a global marketplace,'' said Paul Berberian, co-founder and CEO of Evoke Communications, in a statement.

Evoke has launched its European venture in alliance with Cegetel, France's 2nd largest wireline operator. Cegetel will be selling Evoke's web conferencing in France through its direct sales team and its resellers. Cegetel states that it currently serves 20,000 enterprise customers.

Evoke Communications Europe was established as a joint venture between Evoke Communications in the United States, which is the majority owner, and @viso, which is an incubation service owned by Viviendi and Softbank. Evoke Communications Europe is also expanding into the United Kingdom and Germany.
