FasTV.com to Make Associated Press Video Searchable
FasTV (http://www.fastv.com) announced it has licensed Internet video from The Associated Press to make the video searachable on its site.
The rights cover AP content licensed directly to FasTV, including national and international video, audio, photo, graphics and text services.
"Extending FasTV's product offering to include searchable video news from the world's largest and most highly respected information source, The Associated Press, provides our viewers with access to an even wider variety of content," said Tim Winter, President and Chief Operating Officer at FasTV, Inc.
"Working with FasTV is another excellent platform for those parts of AP content that AP licenses into the consumer online market, and also clears the copyright issues for AP members that partner with FasTV," Tom Slaughter, Vice President and Director of AP Digital, said. "In addition, this relationship with FasTV is a clear statement from AP that if an Internet company wants to offer content to which AP has contributed, such as newscasts from AP- member TV stations, that company needs a license from AP."
