FeedRoom Launches NBC-Affiliate News Site

The FeedRoom (www.FeedRoom.com), announced today that it has launched a local "FeedRoom" for the Columbus NBC affiliate, WCMH-TV , NBC 4, at www.WCMH4.com. Interestingly, the FeedRoom, which is a broadband only site, has launched the Columbus site optimized for 56k users.

NBC was one of the financial backers in the FeedRoom's second round of financing. In addition to financial support, NBC has agreed to partner with the FeedRoom to create co-branded broadband stations for all of NBC's affiliate stations. The local FeedRoom stations should help the site attract a niche audience by highlighting local, current and archived video of news, weather, sports, and business.

WCMH-TV intends to use its local FeedRoom site to compliment broadcast material and break timely news occurrences as they happen. To implement the program, a FeedRoom staff member has been working full-time in the NBC 4 newsroom.
