At next week's Streaming Media West show, video technology solutions company Grass Valley will display IT tools and systems that link television production and streaming delivery. Visitors to the Grass Valley booth will get a first look at a new integrated workflow that lets content creators output to a variety of platforms. The Streaming Media West conference takes place in Los Angeles on November 8 and 9, 2011.

Representatives of Grass Valley will show the company's MediaFuse content re-purposing and multi-distribution system, which promises to make sophisticated production jobs accessible for anyone familiar with common business applications.

Grass Valley will also emphasize the integration between its production switchers and the MediaFuse Live system at Streaming Media West. MediaFuse Live is used for web streaming, file management, and distribution. The newest version includes dynamic live streaming to Flash, HLS, and Windows formats. The goal is to let content creators easily stream to 95 percent of today's smart connected devices.

"As customers continue to migrate to file-based workflows, the ability to manage material and enhance it for re-use is increasingly important," says Jeff Rosica, executive vice president of Grass Valley. "MediaFUSE is an outstanding example of new technologies that help producers deliver the right content to the right platform with the least amount of time and effort."

The drive and media both performed well; they have a sturdy, rugged feel, and, for an external device, the REV Pro is quiet during operation.
