Jilion Adds Free and Premium Plans for SublimeVideo
Swiss company Jilion SA commercialized its cloud-based HTML5 video player, SublimeVideo, in March of this year. Now, it's adding two additional plans, making the player accessible to both small and large organizations. The new Free plan delivers unlimited video plays (although videos are branded with the SublimeVideo logo), 24-hour statistics, and forum-based support. Additionally, the company is introducing a Premium plan for $49.90 per month, which includes one million video plays, real-time stats (with unlimited retention), priority email support, and SSL encryption.
Jilion already offered a $9.90 per month Plus plan, which is now good for 200,000 video plays, real-time statistics (with one year of retention), email support, and SSL encryption.
This is clearly the moment for HTML5 developers, and Jilion plans to make the most of the opportunity.
"With Adobe's recent decision to stop development of mobile Flash and fully embrace HTML5, the demand for a universal video player that just works on any platform has never been greater. Moreover, it was always our ambition to help the Web move forwards by offering web publishers a quick and easy way to switch to HTML5 video. For these reasons, we feel that now is the right time to unleash our player's potential by offering a free version of SublimeVideo to everyone," says co-founder Mehdi Aminian.
