Kamera Signs Deal with
Kamera Interactive (www.kamera.com) a top Swedish webcaster, said it has signed a deal with Endemol Entertainment (
www.endemol.com), producers of the Big Brother television shows.
This deal involves a new show called "F*cking Famous" (formerly known as Fame Factory) which will document a group of young people striving to be famous. The group will interact live with the audience on the Web in order to achieve fame. There will also be daily TV coverage.
"We pitched the concept of F*cking Famous for the first time at MIPCOM and the response has been amazing," said Magnus Zaar, senior director of content at Kamera. "We are delighted to be partnering with Endemol which is a world class player in the global formats market."
Kamera is currently producing the Internet broadcasts of "The Bar", aninteractive docu-soap broadcast in Sweden and Norway.
Endemol's recent U.S. venture was the Big Brother TV show on CBS, which was webcast 24 hours a day, for 88 days, in a partnership with America Online. Big Brother's webcasts and website were consistently ranked in the top spots of weekly ratings.
