Kyte Unveils First Video Publishing App for iPhone 3GS
Kyte is flying high thanks to a new video publishing app, the first of its kind for the iPhone 3GS.
Kyte Mobile Producer for iPhone is now available for $4.99 in the iTunes App Store, according to Kyte marketing director Marisol Segal. "The app enables Kyte Platform publishers to record and instantly upload video and pictures to their Kyte Channel(s) using the new iPhone 3GS," she says in an email.
Live streaming is currently not supported, but the publication workflow has been streamlined to make video posting as real-time as possible. "Record a video, click Broadcast, and it’s instantly live on your channel," says Segal. "To our knowledge, this is the first third-party video publishing tool available in the app store."
Kyte Mobile Producer for iPhone is aimed at Kyte’s commercial users, but it will also work with the free version, Segal says. The app is also compatible with older iPhone models, but only for photos.
Kyte is an online and mobile video platform for media and entertainment. Producers who sign up for a channel can reach their viewers via personal websites, the social web, and mobile phones and connect with them through multimedia chats, moderated user-generated-content campaigns, and social sharing. Kyte also helps members bring in more revenue by increasing their premium video ad inventory.
