Levels Beyond Announces Hybrid Cloud Reach Engine Stage
At the NAB show, Levels Beyond announced that its pushing its Reach Engine platform to the cloud, but doing so in a hybrid model that links to local content libraries.
The new offering is called Reach Engine Stage, a hosted solution that lets internal and external teams collaborate more easily. The product can synchronize with locally stored media libraries -- including Level Beyond's own on-premises Reach Engine Studio, naturally -- so that customers know their assets are stored securely. Reach Engine Stage is launching with shopping cart and analytics applications.
When collaborating with Reach Engine Stage, production teams will upload proxy content and its metadata to the cloud. They can then share workflows. The idea is to untether locally stored content libraries, says Levels Beyond's CEO Art Raymond. He sees a paradigm shift currently taking place in how companies use and publish video, cautioning that they need to adapt quickly to the cloud to survive.
Levels Beyond is known for its Reach Engine, a software platform for managing multimedia files, distributing and optimizing them, and even monetizing assets. The company will show off its hybrid cloud solution at NAB in booth SL10711. The privately owned company is based in Denver, Colorado.
