LiveU, a company that creates bonded cellular remote streaming solutions, will demonstrate its new DataBridge offering at next week's NAB conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. DataBridge is an integrated software solution that lets reporters download content in the flied, edit their recorded video with the downloaded content on whatever device they're using (most often a laptop), then upload the finished project to their home office.

DataBridge will be available in two configurations, the first of which will be on display in beta at NAB, integrated with a LiveU LU500 uplink unit. DataBridge offers a data mode that reporters can use to download online content. DataBridge is expected to begin shipping this summer. A second configuration will work with LiveU's Xtender product, which attaches to tripods or vehicles. This configuration will include a built-in router. It will debut in beta in the next few months, and should ship this summer or fall.

"This new development comes directly from the field; we've listened to our customers, and developed what they need to make their job easier and more productive," says Samuel Wasserman, LiveU's CEO. "By integrating this new data functionality into our product line, we've enabled reporters to create faster and more comprehensive reports."
