HBO already has the HBO Go app, and now Home Box Office has introduced the same experience for Cinemax Subscribers. The Max Go app is available for free download for Apple iOS devices and certain Android devices. Cinemax's paid customers who subscribe through Charter, Cox Advanced TV, Verizon FiOS, AT&T U-Verse, Suddenlink, DirecTV and Dish Network will be able to use the app to stream 700 hours of programming.

As with the HBO Go app, Home Box Office (a subsidiary of Time Warner Inc.) is offering special access to content through Max Go. Subscribers can use the app to view the first episode of original series Strike Back at the same time that it debuts on Cinemax this evening. Afterward, app users can view the second episode of the show a week before it goes to cable.

The app provides streaming access to the channel's library of original programming, Hollywood movies, independents, and even the Max After Dark series. The channel will add new titles each week. Users can take advantage of the Watchlist feature to bookmark content for later viewing.

"Now Max Go is even more portable and flexible than ever with the Max Go app," says Eric Kessler, co-president of HBO. "Consumers will be able to watch the full suite of Cinemax's offerings and catch every action-packed moment of their favorite Cinemax movies and series anywhere they go."
