NCAA Digital and Thought Equity Launch 2011 NCAA Vault
Just in time for March Madness, Thought Equity Motion, which provides video platforms and footage licensing services, and NCAA Digital, which is owned by Turner Sports, are announcing the launch of the 2011 NCAA Vault and Classic 68 Bracket at NCAA.com.
Basketball fans can look to the NCAA Vault for classic full-length NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament games. Rich play-by-play metadata indexing lets fans find exactly what they want, and they can pass along their favorites with social and sharing features. Clips can be shared via e-mail, Facebook, and Twitter.
The Classic 68 Bracket provides a twist on the standard March Madness bracket. Here site visitors can vote on classic NCAA tournament games. Over multiple rounds, voters will narrow down the field until they've selected the greatest game ever. Links in the bracket allow viewers to watch key moments from each game or watch complete games.
Thought Equity Motion's hosted video management platform is providing the backbone for the Web offerings.
"It's exciting to see how Turner Sports is leveraging our technology platform to extend the depth and lifecycle of NCAA March Madness," says Kevin Schaff, CEO and founder of Thought Equity Motion. "The content that we're streaming to Turner Sports will help make NCAA.com a year-round destination for college sports enthusiasts."
