NaviSite Announces StreamOS Partners

NaviSite (www.navisite.com) announced a series of relationships to support content delivery for its newly unveiled streamOS streaming services platform, including agreements with Digital Island, Enron Broadband Services, and Evoke Communications.

NaviSite has partnered with these customers to automatically distribute content for streamOS customers across the most appropriate network. Navisite determines the best network based on the historical consumption data for each client's streams and on realtime analysis of each network's traffic. NaviSite hopes to partner with additional networks in the future, as each network has unique features, functionality and geographic reach.

StreamOS customers will pay on a usage basis for the deployment of their streaming content, and the price will be independent of the actual network used to deliver the content.

Also, because of the capacity and redundancy of multiple CDNs, streamOS can support scalable audience sizes.
