NetRadio to Launch Comedy Radio Station
NetRadio (http://www.netradio.com) said it was beginning its co-branded partnerships this week by forming an all comedy Internet radio station in a deal with cable network Comedy Central.
NetRadio said it will develop similar agreements with other content providers.
The new comedy station will get its content from CD releases and Comedy Central's library of original stand-up performances. In addition, the station's content line-up will have music from Adam Sandler, and bands like "Barenaked Ladies" and "They Might Be Giants."
"Working with NetRadio to produce this new station is a major stepfor COMEDY CENTRAL," said Ken Locker, senior vice president of enterprise and new media, COMEDY CENTRAL. "Having a partnership withone of the leading Webcasters on the Internet will help to extend ourbrand into the Internet as the premiere destination for comedy."
The new station will be launched October 2nd and will be available at NetRadio.com and Comedycentral.com.
