Oasis TV Gains Gerald Levin as Senior Adviser
Oasis TV, an online network devoted to Eastern, New Age, and spiritual videos, has announced a significant addition to its team: Gerald M. Levin , the former CEO of Time Warner, Inc., has joined at the company's senior advisor.
Levin will be helping to guide Oasis TV's capitalization and strategy. Once the company closes series A-1 funding, he'll move into a full chairmanship role.
For those not familiar with Oasis TV, it holds a library of more than 500 hours of original and acquired video. Viewers can browse categories that include personal growth; spirituality; natural health; current affairs; earth and environment; and love, sex, and relationships.
"Oasis TV is poised to benefit tremendously by the new collaborative alchemy Jerry brings to the company," says Oasis TV's founder, president, and CEO Robert Schnitzer. "Our investors are delighted. Jerry is as comfortable and enthusiastic about a nimble, boutique venture like us as he was with Fortune 100 companies."
This isn't Levin's first venture in eastern health and spirituality: he's also the presiding director of Moonview Santuary, a holistic mental health institute in Santa Monica, CA. Besides that, he's a partner in Connectivity, a consulting group that helps start-ups and entrepreneurs.
