POPcast and Spotlife Announce New Deals

POPcast (www.popcast.com), and JVC Company of America ( www.jvc.com), announced the completion of an agreement to create a shared video community for users of JVC's camcorders worldwide. POPcast will be providing its streaming publishing software, media management toolset, and the back-end services, for one-year, for an undisclosed licensing fee.

Members of JVC's Shared Video Community can download a customizedversion of the POPcaster software and use it to capture, edit and publish their finished productions. The free membership will include 10MB of storage and encoding up to 110 kps. Higher encoding bitrates and more storage will be available for a fee.

SpotLife (www.spotlife.com), also announced that they are joining the ranks of POPcast, VideoShare, Sportscapsule and others, as a provider of hosting services for Microsoft's Movie Maker software. SpotLife will provide hosting services for users in North America and Western Europe.
